Weather report from Bradford - Cold and Sleet !!!!

My next weather report will be from Cyprus. Thank God

:)

Well I'm in Bradford, and on high ground, and that's news to me, almost to the extent of beign a big fat SATSIGs 3: will have to check the sensors and come back later. I grant you there was a hail shower about half an hour ago, but sleet there was not, doubly not given that it's 8C.

We had an almost wintry shower before, well it was just rain mixed with a bit of small hail really when it was 4.3C, now 4.0C and still cloudy.

Drove through the North York Moors this afternoon and the temp dropped from 9c at the base of the moor to just 3c at the top. It snowed as well - I know this for sure as my wife and I stopped the car and got out to check that it was!

Just had a wintry shower here.

Started mostly rain with the odd flake then became mostly snow.

OON do you think the mountains in the Lakes will have lying snow on after this?

I'm going tomorrow and hoping to see some snow.

Do you realise that you're on the hitlist for SATSIGS now OON?

You're not allowed to have "wet snow", or indeed any kind of snow.....even 11 inches of snow is only 4 inches on the SF scale.

Mmm, how's normal member status going? Although there is chat that you're only incognito and actually have all powers still enabled; you're just playing hide and ban with us...

Uh uuh. Osborne lives in the mysterious zone of sound northern thinking, in fact he ,arks its northern extremity since it's highly unlikely that the boundary commission would ever take leave of their senses and extend it up to Carlisle. He can have whatever he wants, and I trust his handling of the metre rule implicitly.

I'm going to go up Great Dun Fell if I get a chance. There's got to be snow up there because it's chucking it down here and is only 3.4º.

Hi Stratos - definitely was sleet yesterday - didn't last for long mind you. I am quite high up here - on the Beacon Road in Wibsey. Where about in Bradford are you ?
