Possible late season storm

I know i quote GFDL stats for storms a lot, but they're predicting Invest 95L will gain organisation and become a tropical storm shortly before landfall in Southern Nicaragua. Then it's predicted to hold on to TS strength and cross into the pacific, becoming a weak storm.

Two questions. Firstly, are conditions right in any of those locations for this to be possible. Secondly, how reliable is GFDL?

I've kinda lost touch with all this, but i'm sure the GFDL was fairly reliable two seasons ago when all sorts of records were broken.

Sea surface temps are still v.warm in that area too.
