interestingly the ponies had grown to fully grown horses on the radio report and had also managed to be thrown 15 feet into the air, up 3 feet on the original report  By the time the nationals get hold of the story I reckon reports of a shire 25 feet in the air are likely.

I dont think an Investigation has been done by TORRO Yet, I would estimate those winds at about just below the Birmingham Tornado last year, enough to push over a HorseBox Trailor would have to be over 100mph I would have though, so about T3 Or T4 Maybe??

Wow. That sounds as bad as the Birmingham one in 2005. At least the ponies were alright.

Re the Aberystwyth 'mini-tornado' - a bit of damage to the railway: The line between there and Borth is currently closed. Trees and debris all over the line and severe damage to coping stones has occured to Bow Street Bridge. Line probably closed all day whilst a clearance take place, and buses will run between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth.

Boarhunt Tornado has recieved T2-3 Damage Survey, which puts winds around 114-130mph, and also looks like the Welsh one could be T3-4, About the Same as Birmingham last year, Impressive Stuff, May have to cancel my Month to the Mid west next year if this carries on   :o
