It's December. And it won't stop raining. And it's very windy. And it gets dark at 4pm. Marvellous.

So, lovely nw photographers - cheer us all up :whistling: and post into this thread any photos taken during December that you wish to enter into our Monthly Photo Competition. Maximum three entries per member.

Remember:

Entries will NOT be accepted if they're sized above 1024 x 768.

So please resize.

Here's a free resizing programme - it really couldn't be easier:

As usual, the winning entry will be the photo for December in the 2008 netweather.tv calendar.

And news of the 2007 netweather.tv calendar will be announced shortly.

Happy snapping

Here's my first one for this month - not a squirrel in site you may be pleased to know (at least not yet). Taken at the London Wetlands Centre on a crisp Saturday afternoon:

Don't ask me what it is - I couldn't find a picture of it on the information board!

Hopefully more wildlife stuff to come...

It looks like a marbled duck to me, a very rare species from Southern Europe, but I think they haven't been recorded in britain before so I could be mistaken.

Seeing it is so rare they could be breeding some for later release.

Careful you don't fall over and drop off a cliff.

I done quite a lot of dangerous stuff on that walk and never fell. Walked along ridges with 2-300m drops on either side and basicaly climbed up half the mountain!

I'll try not too fall though :cc_confused:
