Just plonked my weather station outside. currently 9C, rain, mean wind of 39mph, gusts ranging between 40 and 58mph in the last 30 mins, slow increase in windspeed. Yet Liverpool has no gusting. It's great being on an exposed hill :D

A windy night and wet morning.

Highest Ave windspeed overnight was 47mph

Highest wind gust overnight was 63mph

Rain since about 5:00am, when it started, until now was 9mm and the lawn has large puddles as it has taken all it can, fields over the back of town had lying water yesterday so will now have larger 'lakes'.

The wind has now dropped to Force 5 gusting Force 6.

Apparently it was very wet and windy here last night. I wouldn't know. I slept through everything - my first Sunday lie-in for months!

Clouds just starting to clear and a little breezy currently. Must set up the weather station I got for Christmas last year. :)

I finally went to sleep last night, but the maximum gust recorded on my station was 71mph. So I imagine a squall line went through.

Continuing very windy this morning, currently gusting between 35-60mph at times. Very stormy day in prospect.
