    Morning all!

in the middle of a thunderstorm here at the moment with 2 very close CG strikes and instant booming thunder! A couple of people in the office yelped and quite a few have remarked "isn't it unusual for thunder in the winter"...

I have to say it was certainly unexpected!! It has become very squally out there..

Same here, that squall line has just come over us - hail and thunder. Very impressive as it was flat calm one minute then blowing a gale the next... BTW - am in Pirbright Surrey - 25 mles East of Basingstoke.

That was one nasty squall that just went through.

Hail at the beginning,, then the rain (horizontal almost),, Then the flash flash boom boom (basil brush).

At one point it was so windy i thought a tornado was possibly dropping <_<

    Great stuff.

On a seperate note - Belgium must have sunk by now if the radar is real :o

yeah - it felt like that down here as well. the wind really picked up in speed during the hail downburst.

    justinflavin,

Thankyou for that, Wow what an incredible happening for London I hope no-one has been hurt! :o

    Westy

unfortunately 6 injured. taken to hospital...

sky weatherman is warning about a similar system coming in from wales... its heading east. its not over yet for today.

the tornado system must have been the one i videoed earlier this morning (the hailstorm) - headed east - and it hit london around 11.05am

that was videoed around 9.30am here in basingstoke.

update: sky are saying 5 injured. treated at the scene for injuries and shock.

update 2: bbc - 5 treated at the scene. 1 man taken to hospital with head injuries. 6 injured total.

(and bbc keep saying mini-tornado ... gggaaarrggghhh!!!)
