Following the torrential rain of the last hour, just noticed heavy sleet / snow outside. Funny thing was, I was on the BBC weather site at the time... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/

can confirm snow blowing around in leith (edinburgh) !!!

Welcome to posting on here Flash :)

From up here - 5miles to the south of the city on a hill, it looks like thick fog over the city and extremely grey cloud - with heavy sleet.

And now, 5 mins later it's snow

20 minutes on - stopped now. Cars and grass covered - and up against walls, there's enough slush to make a snowball

Sleet this morning here approx 11am. Thick, wet stuff sticks to you. Was like a walking snowman at one point as the sleet turned more snow-like. Didn't last long, sun came out and proceeded to blind me...funny old day

Heavy squally showers with sleet mixed in on this side of the Forth at Kirkcaldy (not much above sea level). In between whiles sunny but windy. Air temp at 5C not too low but wind chill making it seem much colder. Begining to feel like winter.

Spectacular weather! Thunder and lightning, hailstones as big as marbles, rain, sleet & snow, all within half an hour! All white and slushy up here now!

Had a sleety shower with hail at about 4:30pm. Wouldn't of been able to tell there was sleet if i never seen it on the car window though.
