last night was the 4th warmest december night in this area in over 60 years data. 1994 had 13.3C one night in December, and 1986 and 1987 both had a night with a min of 12.5C, last night was 12.3C, tonight looks set to be about the same.

To give some idea of its warmth, the long term average for July min temp is 11.5C, the warmest month of the year!

After a mostly cloudy morning with sunny spells it gradually turned overcast during the afternoon. For the most part it was a dry day, but there was occasional light drizzle at times later on. Overall it was the warmest December day since I began recording, with new record high maxima and minima values.
