Paul Bartlett: February coldest month of the winter

The (in)famous Paul Bartlett hasn't released his winter forecast yet (er, hello Paul but we're now exactly 1/5th of the way through winter ...!). However, he has declared that February may well be the coldest month of the winter.

As you know, I'm going against the consensus on this and plumping for a warm up in the second half of Feb, but interesting to see what Paul will say about January!

(p.s. as someone elsewhere mentions, do hope Paul's not unwell because this is getting very late for a winter forecast)

That would be a classic El nino type set-up mind you West, then again coldest doesn't mean cold sadly, afterall, the coldest month in the 88-89 winter was still just under 2C above average!!!

Hopefully he's okay though.

Paul seems to be OK as he was posting on uk.sci.weather only yeaterday.
