fog late last night but cleared in the earlu hours - just shows the problems of trying to forecast fog. temp went down to -3.7C now at -2.4C, flat clam and not a cloud in the sky as the sun gets near to appearing.

blue skies, no frost overnight, didn't fall below 5C but its lower now than at any time during the night, at 4C, but that will rise to around 6-7C by 1-2pm

0oC start again in South Derby. The fog is still lingering, and what must have been a colder night last night than the night before (ice is on some surfaces).

Strange happenings really. During the day, the ground dried up/was dry. Then as the fog descended, the ground became wet again, hence now we have ice.
