It's January. And it won't stop raining. And it's very windy. And it gets dark at 4pm. Marvellous. Oh, that's the same intro to last month...

So, lovely nw photographers - cheer us all up :) and post into this thread any photos taken during January that you wish to enter into our Monthly Photo Competition. Maximum three entries per member.

Remember:

Entries will NOT be accepted if they're sized above 1024 x 768.

So please resize.

Here's a free resizing programme - it really couldn't be easier:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jresizer.html

As usual, the winning entry will be the photo for January in the 2008 netweather.tv calendar.

Happy snapping :)

Well I'll start things off with my first ever entry.

One is taken off the moon on a clear January night and the other is the stormy skies above the Spinnaker tower when I was visiting Portsmouth.

I like your moon Stormchaser. You can make out lots of detail on it.

Steering away from the astronomy theme I thought I'd make my first post for this month a bird (well there's a change!)

We had four of these little beauties on the feeder at the same time this afternoon!
