Light sleet here in Edinburgh (253ft ASL) at 2100. Temp has jumped from 0.7C to 2.6C though in about 15 min.

Radio reports of snow along the M Eight corridor. Some visible, but not lying yet, on the traffic cams here

Cars are now covered in snow - it's the wet stuff, though - large flakes earlier. Nice all the same.

*tried to photo it lying, but looks like my flash is busted..

I see on the sat-rep, there's waves and lee clouds galore over northern UK - only explanation for this. :o
