Left for work at 6.15 this morning - no snow

Wife phones at 8.00 to inform me that the palce is covered in the white stuff - of course I get to miss it as I am stuck in Bloody Belfast

The Met Office man on radio Ulster was indicating that Saturday and Sunday are to be very wintry

Pretty impressive snow last night at 11pm en route from Inverurie to Stonehaven last night, was a Blizzard at one point, got a couple of pictures but they are pretty rubbish as i took them from inside my car in the dark with my phone , but anyways, the roads were white and it was -0.5 celcius....

Nothing in Cleadon last night (bar rain at 5C), but today there has just been a sleety rain shower with the temperature falling to 3.9C. Remarkably, this is the first time there has been so much as sleet here this winter!

Had a heavy hail shower about half an hour ago, with a few flaky bits mixed in. Gusts up to 48mph now. Very blustery indeed. Temp around 6C here.
