Left for work at 6.15 this morning - no snow

Wife phones at 8.00 to inform me that the palce is covered in the white stuff - of course I get to miss it as I am stuck in Bloody Belfast :)

The Met Office man on radio Ulster was indicating that Saturday and Sunday are to be very wintry :)

Oh to live further north, just hoping that the mountains near by can catch a bit of the white stuff over the coming week.

Nothing in Cleadon last night (bar rain at 5C), but today there has just been a sleety rain shower with the temperature falling to 3.9C. Remarkably, this is the first time there has been so much as sleet here this winter!

Had a heavy hail shower about half an hour ago, with a few flaky bits mixed in. Gusts up to 48mph now. Very blustery indeed. Temp around 6C here.
