Had a sleety shower (3.9C again) at around 4pm. Sleetiness was more marked in this shower with half-melted ice crystals clear to detect on west-facing windows.

Wet snow falling here just now. Large wet flakes but not lying. Temp is 2.0C. Funny the last shower was sleety rain but temp was 1.6C

Snowing pretty much everywhere now north of Perth. Have a look at the traffic cams in the north here

Edit : Just noticed restrictions on the A9 at Perth now due to snow cover.

All this wintriness is a little surprising to me - clear skies and 2° here at the moment but doesn't really feel cold enough for snow. A bit of a wind now too.

Well, it's now snowing in lots of places across County Durham. Sadly, this is mostly in places above 1,000 feet and it's wet snow so unlikely to stick. Parts of Weardale and Teesdale are likely to start have lying snow above 1,800 feet however - I wonder what Chappellfell Top looks like now.

Currently heavy sleet outside at the moment.

Wet snow level seems to have descended somewhat.

Very wet snow now falling and some pretty big flakes too. I don't classify this as true snow though; far too wet. Although it is settling on car bonnets.

Wet snow here covering surfaces. Snow and hail shrs yesterday gave a covering down to around 300m yesterday at times. Nasty conditions at times with strength of the wind on wedenesday.

Snowing heavy in Glasgow city centre, but due to urban heating it isn't doing much lying.

Council's caught unawares me thinks.
