Now only a short message, later I'll complete with graphics and other data.

Today a really strong fohn over northern Italy with records everywhere.... In the Alps near Cuneo 550 mt. asl up to +28.6°C

This morning in my town (45 mt asl) a minimum temp of 4°C and at at noon........... 23°C

This year we don't have winter, no cold, no snow, no rain..... only dry and sometimes HOT..... last year I closed winter season with more than one meter of snow.... It seems a different planet

:drinks:

That is an amazing couple of statistics. And all i wanted to hear as i leave tonight for Corvara, Alta Badia.

I have been monitoring the temps on the val-gardena.com website and shocked how often the temps (even at 2000m) have been warmer than my own location.

Do you have any comaprative stats, comparing averages with actual for the area. Something similar to how i have produced mine which are on line at http://www.lortonweather.co.uk/Analysis-2006.htm

Things look like changing though - heavy snow is forecast from tuesday onwards - i just hope it happens.

I'm just watching the live weather now and Fohn in val gardena/alta badia is producing some very strong sustained wind speeds of 80km/h with gusts up to 120km/h

I don't have stats of Alta Badia and Val Gardena, but I often go there... in January usually temps are around -5°c max and -15°C min.

Don't worry you'll have a snowy week in Alta Badia starting from tuesday and cold temperatures.... have fun! (You're lucky)
