Woke up to a wintry scene here this morning. Enough snow for a snowball, but not enough for a snowman... still didn't expect it, which makes it even better!

Started here around 3.15 am, just stopped now, around 6cms of lying snow , the most since I moved down here from sw london. :)

It looks like oxfordshire and parts of west sussex where I am had the best snowfall, makes a change!

Hi All

When I left home in Southend at 5:15 it was dry, by the time I got to Rochford snow was falling giving a dusting then as the train headed for London there was about 1 cm at Rayleigh, and by the time we reached Billericay it was possibly 2 may be 3cm, then I could not see out of the train window any more.

It is still snowing slightly here at London Bridge, but its all slush under foot...

Cheers

FC

2.5cm of lying snow in Reigate (110m). No doubt more on the top of the Downs at about 210m. Was still snowing lightly when I got up at 6am but stopped about 7:15. Probably will have melted away by mid morning but a very pretty scene here.

About 1.5 inches here, and it's started to snow again, albeit lightly
