What a lovely sight! I can now see the orange. The rim is a greyish white colour. I better make the most of it.

:D:rolleyes:

My digi-cam does not have the zoom. My pics of 'Mars' are coming out as nothingness or odd-discs.

Danjon Scale

2 Deep red or rust-colored eclipse. Very dark central shadow, while outer edge of umbra is relatively bright.

What do you reckon?

I`d have to say 2 it`s one of the best darkest eclipses I`ve seen there usually brighter the ones I`ve seen but there was one very similar to this at around 3.00a.m. a few years ago. :D

And Leo the lion is just to the north with one of the planets.

It is better when you venture outside, a bit cold though. :)

But well worth it.

great conditions, clear skies! had the telescope out and cinoculars and seen it happening since 9pm, although no noticable changes until about 9:30 when it appeared to have a black smudge.

currently nice and brown/red

i must find out why it goes this colour.... can anyone tell me?
