Quite a strange day ; a gusty S'ly wind throughout which made for a cold windchill, mostly cloudy but also plenty of hazy sunshine, balmy in the sun while out of the wind, max 9c.

Now ; cloudy, breezy, 8c.

Also, as is often the case here after a day of S'ly wind, a pleasant sandy smell in the air.
