After the disapointment of febuary (Apart from the snowfall between 15th-17th) or as a matter of fact all the winter months can march finaly bring us a decent cold spell :wallbash: . Could we get a below average month?.

My CET prediction for March is 6.5c

Closing date 28th 23:59

I was gojng for a fairly average March but I just can't see that now. The warmth has implemented itself into our climate like a rod through cement.

7.0c so slightly above average. Or well above average in comparison to 61-90 average

The warmest March on record is 9.2C, which is 2.9C above average.

The average March temperature is 6.3C.

The coldest March on record is 1.8C, which is 4.5C below average.

My CET prediction is 9.3C, which is 3C above average and would make this March, the warmest on record.

Average for the last 10 years (my base for this years competition) is 7.1, early indicators look mixed for the start of the month, but I am fearful that we are looking at a mild start and as such I will go for my base plus a nuisance mild addition for 7.6 please

The start of march is nine days away. It will most proberly be mild but between now and then anything could happen :wallbash:

True, but I have to go for something!

10 year average with an addition for the mild of the last 8 months continuing seems fair to me!

At the moment acording to the poll it looks like most of us think that march is going to be above average. Lets hope we are wrong :wallbash:

8.7c for me. It'll be overall mild but with 72hr cold 'moments' dragging the higher temps down.

The ten year mean for March is about 7C, and it has warmed much more markedly than other winter months; at the same time it seems to have plateaued for now. My early call for March would probably be for something closer to average than any recent months, and possibly, like last year, something below par. Of course, in a week's time, tis view may well have changed.

I think March will come in slightly below average

6.1c

And I think there will be a snow event in the UK, most likely in Scotland, and along the East coast of England.A short sharpe North Easterly around the early part of March. Then a steady rise in temps through the rest of the Month, with some very pleasent spring like days.

My heart says 2.0c but my head says 6.8c so I'll be realistic and go with the latter.

I'm going for 6.8

Me too! You know loads and I know nothing!!

Hope you don't mind my freeloading approach but I'm so poor at this that I really have to hedge my bets!!

Kind regards,

Mike.

Put me down for 7.8, that way I can hide in the middle of the group photo.

Roger: I'll go for 1.0 and 9.5. That way, I can run around the back and appear in the group photo twice - once at either end!!

Kind regards,

Mike.
