Sunshine and snow/hail showers, notably windy, 2cm snow cover starting to melt during the sunny intervals. Temp 2C.

It fell no lower than 0.7C last "night" (the minimum actually occurred at 9am), so once again decidedly marginal- but just cold enough for lying snow.

-3degC in Glasgow this morning under bright, nearly clear skies but too dry for frost to form, and a very light breeze. Zero degrees in sunny Stranraer at 09:30 and no change to that at noon. 2degC in Glasgow at 16:00, still sunny. All in all a really nice crisp day.
