The fact I am cycling coast-coast early April means we are guaranteed a cold and wet start. The rest of April will be warm and sunny.

8.7C

My alternate method calls for 12.1C as the final April CET, so i will be leaving my prediction as 10.6C, which is 2.5C above average.

A fairly warm, and also fairly dry month overall - I'm going for:

9. 6º c

Heavens SB what is the "alternate method" that throws up such an anomalously warm month: 4c above the 30 year mean (is 12.1 in excess of the current record?) and why does it differ from your "official" prediction by a considerable margin of 1.5c?

Does anyone have a free (i.e. not Hadley Centre) link to the full monthly CET data please?

Regards

ACB

P.S my guess is for 8.6 (slightly below the 10 year rolling average but comfortably above the 30 year mean).

i think northerlies could be a common affair this month, albeit not entirely cold ones. i'm going to go with 9.4.

I think despite the likely chiller start the end of the month will be warm again so i will punt at 8.9C

I won't be putting in a prediction until the 31st March, but my current hunch is for yet another above-average month; though not exceptionally so. It remains to be seen whether the Easter northerly comes off or not.

After much careful consideration I have decided to throw again and this time my dart landed in 9.1c.

Can somebody please amend my entry from 8.3c to 9.1c? Many thanks!
