Been snowing heavily of late with much more snow to come in the days ahead:-

Wow! So when does the greenery start to appear again up there usually?

In about 30 years, after AGW has really taken hold!!!

The grass does appear from mid May but it isn't green

It's actually horrible through late May and the whole of June. Mud and waterlogged forests and fields... even mudslides around my location too. I don't cut the grass until well into July. Luckily I only have to wait until September for my first flakes again which is good when one is as obsessed as me I really don't like summer and I'm so grateful for the surrounding mountains which allow me to at least see snow on their tops right through.

Do you not miss the summer at all? I used to be a snow freak until I moved here in Alberta, Canada. Now I am probably going to move to B.C. next year where the winters are shorter but the summers are hotter

Mind you, your neck of the woods does sound extreme

Wow - great piccies there. Hard to believe that the UK and Norway arent really that far apart geographically, but weather wise absolute poles apart, not that im not enjoying the early summer like weather of late here.

Cheers John! It's only 10km further W where I'll be going next spring. I'll still be in Lesjaskog next winter but my move to Bjorli is even better as I'll be on top of the ski lifts Bjorli gets even more snow and so my photos will get even snowier

Most jobs are winter jobs, yes. Difficult to live here... hence why starting your own business is the only real way for an outsider to really make it as 99% of the work is farming related outside of the hotel trade.
