Unbelieveable! Fabulous photos Pete. To actually be there and experience that must have been an awesome experience.

Ok, three from me for this month. Don't know what categories they'll end up in but I'll let the Great Gods of the Forum decide...

First one from me..

Nice one potty, lighting effect on the fence is pretty outstanding ,ive tried a few night long exposures, but i need more practice, still a tad to much exposure but at least with digital technology i can keep practising without spending a fortune on film!!

Hey hey, well i dont post much on here as you can but here's 3 from me that were shot within the last week. Hope you like. Regards Pete the Britt.

Now you mention it, that shower cloud did just pass over the field next door to where i live. It's amazing the wizardy you can do with photoshop & a puffy white cloud over Essex, & you all thought i'd really gone to the States ;)lol

lol - 4.0 megapixels Canon Powershot A430 - AU$179 (about £70) from a mall in Surfer's Paradise :)

I was genuinely surprised too - but the light yesterday evening was something else, so went for a walk round the grounds of the hotel I was at - Gelnbervie House Hotel, Stirlingshire, inbetween wedding duties.

Here are two views of the sunset on 27th May in my part of the world. These are taken from the top of Burnaby Mountain, which is perhaps 200 metres above sea level, looking generally west towards the Pacific across parts of Vancouver in the left photo (if you look carefully you'll see the city centre off in the distance), and North Vancouver in the right-hand shot, which catches part of the snow-capped Coast Range mountains. The objects in the foreground of the left-hand photo are carvings presented to the city of Burnaby (which is where I live) by our sister city in Japan.

Here's a third one that is less obviously weather related, but the rhododendron display this year is particularly good because of the rather cool, wet spring that has encouraged these blossoms to fill out more than in previous years, if a little on the later side. Hope you enjoy this but if it lacks weather content, I can tell you it was partly cloudy and 15 C if that helps.

My last entry, I would normally wait just in case something better crops up, but I probably won't have time over the next few days.

For optimum viewing I recommend reducing the size by 50% that makes it clearer. No matter how hard I try I can't get a crystal clear Sun at Sunset you see....
