Yesterday.

Not a bad really with plenty of hazy sunshine after a cloudy start and quite warm for most of the day. Cloud increased during the early afternoon as the front approached, but it stayed dry, just felt the odd spot of rain in the wind. The sky brightened again later with more sunshine, but with a notable drop in the temperature.

Minimum temperature = 9.7c

Maximum temperature = 17.5c

Wind SSW, fresh, with the occasional strong gust.

Rain = 0

Crossed the Solent last night in an HGV on the ferry, slight drizzle and I mean slight at 2300 in Portchester where i stopped the night in the lorry.

On waking in the luxury temperature controlled :clap: cab at 0530 the drizzle was still there just, the ground still dry though.

On reaching the passenger ferry for my return journey the drizzle increased during my wait in the terminal at Portsmouth harbour finally wetting the ground.

On arrival at Ryde it was heavy drizzle and getting thicker.

Sat here at home now it is full blown light rain, took its time but it's got here at last :clap:

Looks like the forecast rain has stayed further south than anticipated: John Hammond was right to say that "details are sketchy" in his report yesterday evening. I did wonder why the animation leaped from midnight to 4pm or so.

Would pass for warm sector conditions. Scuddy stratus / Sc, with odd clearances and some spits and spots occasionally blowing around. 13.2C
