I've often wondered if this had happened before! a few jumpers needed this weekend!

nice to read his memories of cold cricket. I remember being wrapped up like an Egyptian mummy playing for the school one year, no idea what year. Made it difficult to either bow or bat. Also watching cricket at Chesterfield in the very early 60's wrapped up in much the same way, and hunting round the ground for someone that sold hot soup.

The 1975 match he recalls was also the year snow stopped cricket at Buxton.
