Here, here.

Terrific amount of rain at around 3.20pm. Some nice lightning too. It was amazing how the clouds surrounded here and closed in all at once.

well we have another storm hear today, but this one is a little to our east but moving very slowly, and looks to be building and has become more active with a lot of in cloud over the last 15 minuets.

the other difference to yesterdays is its only light rain, but has been at it for the last 20 mins.

looks to be on a NNE track as originally saw this on the way through Chelmsford an hour or more ago.

Gone very dark here in Shoebury, a few flashes and rather loud rumbles.Got quite heavy rain as well now.

A torrential echo on the radar passed almost exactly over Shoeburyness at 18:00pm.

Some thunderstorms around towards NW have died away from swansea. There was very heavy rainfall, extremely torrential for 7 minutes along with loud thunder and gusty winds.

Can report two thunderstorms - the first beginning at 2:00, and the second about 10 mins after the first one stopped suddenly (about 2:25 around about). First one was closer and made a few not very loud bangs maybe about a mile or two away (although I would certainly not have wanted to have been underneath it at the time!!), and the second was was distant and interfered with the electricity. The second had vivid lightning, despite the fact that I couldn't even hear it most of the time.

I remember hearing about high-altitude thunderstorms (from this forum), and even seeing one above my house last year. At the time the second storm struck we had an absolute deluge of rain, very vivid lightning, but as I said, no thunder most of the time, so could it have been really high up but still local to me?

Excuse me if this sounds like crap - I am still very shaky from the remnants of the last one (and maybe another one moving in?)so it is all making me go a little odd in the head (heh, if I wasn't already!)...

Just to add - can hear another one in the distance - guessing it is the storm moving just beyond the coastline?

We had a storm in this area yesterday afternoon at about 16:30, thunder and lightning for about half hour, but the rain was probably the heaviest and most prolonged I have seen it in years, we live on a hill and the road had about an inch of water running down the middle, and for the first time in my 7 years of living here, there was flash flooding on all the roads in the area. It was quite amazing to see the amaount of water that fell in that time.
