With all this storm activity lately and me missing out on it all, I was thinking back a few years ago when the most spectacular storm I've ever seen by a mile hit here. It started to move up the valley from the south just after dusk and I could see the flickers of lightning in the distance. Half hour or so later it was right overhead where it stayed for about 3-4 hours. The lightning was ridiculous, the sky was constantly flashing for about 3 hours, on average the strikes were coming every second. Several areas of my area got hit, I remember a few bolts hitting the lamposts on a road 100m or so from my house. I've seen some big storms abroad but not even those came even close to this monster. Nothing even remotely like it seen before or since.

Does anyone know precisely when this was? I think it was about 6 or so years ago. Would like to see the charts from that day.
