Here's a sunset picture from my part of the world, where we have actually had a few nice days this summer. Not many, but enough to remind one that it is summer.

Then also this one taken a few days later.

Lovely pictures Roger, but don't forget to re-size them or they will not be eligible for the competition B)

Hi all,

Just a week back from a super fortnight in sunny and beautiful Dorset :)

Hard to pick just three non-weather ones really from the c. 200 pics I took ! lol.

Btw, you're only allowed 3 in total are you .. not 3 weather / plus three non-weather ??

Cheers all. I doubt I'll get any votes, the entries so far are Outstanding ! B)

Hi Beverley

No, you can have three weather pics plus three non-weather pics. :)

Nice photos, by the way.

They seem fine to me, Beverley. They aren't too big, and certainly qualify for weather entries. Nice use of the panorama stitch effect as well. :)

The non-weather section was added because the Mods decided to restrict competition entries qualifying for the calendar to weather-related pictures. But because so many people also take non-weather ones they also decided to allow non-weather ones as well (after a bit of a members' revolt B) ), but just for fun.

Blackie mate, get this photo entered it's brilliant B)

Cheers Ross :)

Yes, I was thinking of entering that - but as a non-weather one. I don't think it would count as weather related, as the main focus is the couple paddling. I will probably enter a couple of the Banff sunset shots for my other weather entries, and maybe a couple of the Calgary Stampede ones for the remaining non-weather pics.

It must be difficult to choose Blackie, I would say that your best non weather shot besides the couple paddling is the one where the Cowboy has fallen off the bull and is behind it in mid air, you can feel what he is about to feel, if you know what I mean B)

Regards,

Russ.

Guess sometimes it's a fine line between the two categories tho' !? lol.

For the non-weather section, I would think.

So my second weather pic would be this one of the fiery sunset clouds over Banff

Took these shots just before and during a storm on the 19th july. The storm itself just about skirted us in Telford but made for a nice display anyway.

lol - I'm confused now. Which do you want to enter Nigel? You can have three weather and three non-weather related shots. If you number them A1 - A4 along the top and A1 - C1 in a grid down the side - tell me which ones and I can do the rest

Sounds like a game of Battleships to me!

Actually, if Nigel marks the ones he wants to enter with an O and puts an X against the ones he doesn't, we could play noughts and crosses instead. :)

Hang on, Nigel. I wanna play Battleships first.

I'll have three guesses to try and sink your battleship: A3, B4 and C3. Did I hit it? :cold:

Seriously, I think you should enter those three. Even if there isn't a battleship behind them...

I love the rainbows and the golden colour in the bottom shot.
