Woken at 3.30am by a storm to the south, out over the channel and last heard at about 5.10am.

Callie :)

It woke me up as well and Mrs Coast almost fell out of bed.

I hasten to add I was not sharing a room with Callie! :D

Thunderstorm just began here in Chiswick, SW London. One half of the sky is clear blue, the other half menacing black...A fair few flashes and very loud thunder, the floorboards just shook :)

The right cloud for storms is passing Eastwards all the time here. post-4726-1183994506_thumb.png I can't vouch for electrical activity, but I can vouch for tornado's and funnel clouds :)post-4726-1183994530_thumb.jpg :)

Just caught the edge of a storm which was passing to the north of me. Lots of CG, anyone in the Caterham area tell me if it was as good as it looked from here?

Quite a hefty storm for the last hour or so, with numerous electrical cells leading to plenty of forked and sheet lightning and almost constant thunder. Also torrential rain and some large hail too.

Distant rumbles of thunder from about 6pm, eventually got a few lightning flashes and cracks over head by around 7.15pm.
