Many places starting dry and bright, but rain will spread west across England, Wales and Northern Ireland reaching East Anglia by evening. Heavy showers will develop across Scotland.

Thursday Night

Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of Wales and England will see further showers. The south should become drier, but here it will become rather windy.

Friday day

Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland and northern England will be fairly wet with showers or longer spells of rain. Blustery elsewhere, but with sunshine and just scattered showers. The southwest will stay dry and bright.

Friday night

Northern areas will see further showery bursts of rain tonight, but southern areas will be dry with clear spells. Still breezy.

The far north of Scotland will be cloudy with prolonged and at times heavy rain. Elsewhere, there will be sunshine and showers, some heavy in the north, but many southern areas will remain dry. It will feel warmer than recently.

Saturday night

Rain will continue across the far north of Scotland. Elsewhere, showers will die out, then it will be dry with clear periods and some patchy mist.

The far north of Scotland and Northern Isles will remain cloudy with rain. Elsewhere, sunshine and showers, some heavy with hail and thunder. It will feel warm in sunshine and light winds.

Sunday night

Showers dying out for most but a few will continue through the night in southern England. Further rain will edge southwards across western Scotland.

Sunny spells and heavy showers in the west developing over much of England and Wales. Showers light and well scattered over Scotland. Cloud and more persistent rain over Northern Ireland reaching Wales and the southwest later.

Monday night

Heavy showers mainly in eastern England dying out with clear spells developing. Showery rain in Northern Ireland and northern Scotland. Rain, heavy at times, affecting Wales and southwest England.

Tuesday

Bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers mostly light but a few becoming heavy in the east.

Wednesday

Mainly dry and bright. Thicker cloud in the west with patchy rain turning more persistent towards evening.

Rain spreading from the south heaviest in southern England, Wales and the Midlands in the morning, spreading to northern England this afternoon. Northern Ireland and Scotland will be brighter with scattered showers.

Sunday night

Rain will spread to southern Scotland and Northern Ireland this evening and overnight with much of England and Wales becoming dry. but further thundery rain will reach southeastern England later.

Most showers will die away to leave patchy cloud and mist for most areas except the far north of Scotland where further outbreaks of rain are likely. A warm and humid night.

Rain over northern Scotland will persist in some parts. Heavy showers in south Wales and south-west England will become more widespread with a risk of thunder during the day. Warm sunshine between the showers.

Tuesday night

Cloudy and damp for parts of central and northern Scotland. A few showers continuing for western parts of England and Wales. Most other parts becoming dry with clear spells. Some patchy mist and fog.

Heavy rain over Wales and Central England will ease in intensity as it spreads further north. Turning very wet for Northumberland and The Borders by dawn. Mostly dry for the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A much drier day. There will be some isolated showers for eastern England and eastern Scotland but elsewhere there should be long bright or sunny spells. Feeling warmer than recent days.

Tuesday night

The southeast and East Anglia should have a dry night. Elsewhere, thicker cloud and patchy, mainly light rain will gradually spread in from the west. Drier in Northern Ireland later. Breezy in the south of the UK.

Most parts of the UK will have dry weather with partly cloudy skies for much of the night. Northern Ireland is likely to see heavy showers throughout. Dawn will bring heavy rain Wales and southwestern England.

Any rain in the far southeast will soon clear, then all areas will have sunny spells. Most western and southern areas should be dry, but eastern areas will have sharp showers blown through on brisk northwesterly winds.

Sunday night

Scattered showers in the east will die out, then most places will be dry with long clear periods. It will be a cooler and fresher night with northwesterly winds easing.
