Heavy rain in north Wales and parts of northern England. Further north, sunny spells and showers, heaviest and most frequent to the northwest. Rather cloudy and breezy elsewhere with occasional light rain.

Friday night

Rain across central parts will gradually ease, with plenty of cloud and some outbreaks of light rain further south. Rain spreading across the far north of Scotland too, otherwise mostly dry.

England and Wales rather cloudy and breezy, with patchy rain spreading eastwards. Scotland and Northern Ireland brighter with sunny intervals and scattered showers. Southwesterly winds increasing

Sunday night

Outbreaks of heavy rain with fresh and gusty winds will spread across all areas tonight, the winds strong in exposed western parts where clearer, showery weather will arrive by morning.

Monday day

Heavy rain and squally winds in eastern areas of the UK will clear later this morning. This will be followed from the west by sunshine and showers. Some of the showers will be heavy at times. Feeling cool in a brisk wind.

Monday night

Showers will continue in some western and northern parts of the UK. Elsewhere it will be somewhat drier with longer clear periods. Still breezy.

Tuesday day

An unsettled day with sunshine and blustery showers. The showers will be heaviest and most frequent in the northwest at first, but mainly becoming confined to the east during the afternoon. Cool in the northwest wind.

Tuesday night

A few showers are likely to continue in the east, particularly the southeast, but elsewhere will become drier, with clear periods. A frost may form in northwest Scotland. Cold northerly winds.

Wednesday day

Eastern counties of England will have showers, heavy at times, and accompanied by a strong and gusty northerly wind. Elsewhere across the UK, it will be mainly dry with sunshine. Feeling cool everywhere.

Wednesday night

East Anglia and southeast England will see showers continue through the night, with a strong and gusty northerly wind. Elsewhere across the UK, it will be dry with clear skies, lighter winds and frost developing inland.

Thursday day

Much of the UK will have a chilly start, with frost most prevalent across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Eastern parts of Scotland and England will have showers. Elsewhere it will be mainly dry with sunny spells. Feeling cool.

Thursday night

England, Wales and eastern Scotland will have variable amounts of cloud and a few showers. Western Scotland and Northern Ireland will have longer clear spells with patchy frost developing.

Cloudy for England, Wales and eastern Scotland with a little rain at times. Mainly dry for the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland with local frost and mist. Chilly in north, mild and breezy in south and east.

Although some bright or sunny intervals will develop, chiefly this afternoon, much of the UK will be cloudy. Outbreaks of light rain and drizzle over England and Wales will gradually die out, leaving some isolated showers.

Saturday night

Isolated showers continuing in the west where it will stay cloudy. Elsewhere it will remain dry, with some cloud breaks along with some patchy mist and fog.

Clear and chilly for Northern Ireland and much of northern Britain. Turning cloudy across Wales and the Midlands with rain possible in southwest England soon after dark.

It'll stay cloudy across Wales, The Midlands and southern England with a few spots of rain still possible. The rest of the UK will have clear spells with mist of fog returning by dawn.

Wales, the Midlands, southern England and East Anglia will stay cloudy with a little drizzly rain at times. Sunny spells in Scotland and northern England after some morning fog. Rather cloudy in Northern Ireland.

Tuesday night

Mild and mostly cloudy across the UK with some light rain and drizzle here and there. Some clear spells in northeastern England and eastern Scotland will allow it to turn chilly with possibly some mist and fog.

Wednesday day

Northern Ireland will be cloudy and grey with outbreaks of rain. The rain will extend into Scotland and northwestern parts of England and Wales. Elsewhere across England and Wales a few bright spells developing.

Wednesday night

Outbreaks of rain will continue to spill eastwards across the UK, with the heaviest of any rain across Scotland and Northern England. By the end of the night, most of the UK will be dry with clear spells and some patchy cloud.

Scotland will dawn cloudy and grey with outbreaks of patchy rain, before becoming brighter. Northern Ireland, England and Wales will be dry with sunny spells and light winds. Feeling pleasant.

Thursday night

England and Wales will be dry with clear spells, patchy fog, and even a touch of ground frost in inland areas. In Scotland and Northern Ireland an increasing breeze will bring cloud and patchy rain to the northwest later.

Most of Britain will be dry with variable, at times large amounts of cloud. Winds mainly light so feeling pleasant in any sunny spells. The exception will be across northern Scotland where a band of rain will move slowly southeastwards.

Saturday night

A little light rain or drizzle across parts of northern Scotland. Remaining areas dry with variable amounts of cloud. Some mist or fog patches developing where skies clear.

A continuing chance of a little drizzle occurring across northern England and southern Scotland. Elsewhere, largely dry if rather cloudy conditions are expected with just a few clearer spells.

A dry but rather cloudy day with a few sunny intervals. Thicker cloud with a few spots of rain for northern England, the north Midlands and Norfolk. Light rain spreading to Northern Ireland during the afternoon will turn heavy.

Monday night

Some heavy rain will affect Northern Ireland during Monday evening, this then spreading to many other parts overnight. However, the far southeast of England, and northeast Scotland, should stay dry.

Heavy rain will continue east, perhaps lingering into the afternoon in eastern England and eastern Scotland. Most other areas will become brighter with sunny spells, though showers will affect Northern Ireland.

Rain lasting in eastern England until late and the Home Counties until the early hours. Otherwise dry, cloudy, even foggy. The fog most likely in northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Once fog patches have cleared, it will be a predominantly dry day with sunny spells. Cloud will be more extensive and more persistent in southern counties of England. Some breaks may appear later.

Wednesday night

Whilst rain starts to fall in Scotland, Northern Ireland and later northwest England, fog is likely in southern England and Wales.

England and Wales will be cloudy, misty and murky, with outbreaks of patchy light rain or drizzle in places. Scotland and Northern Ireland will be breezy, with a band of rain spreading southeastwards.

Outbreaks of rain over western Scotland will become more widespread and persistent overnight, spreading across Northern Ireland too. Cloudy with some drizzle elsewhere, drier with some clear spells in the southeast.
