Thats not Yorkshire, those photos were on a French forum from the storms this morning.

It does seem a bit suspicious Dan. That dosen't look like flamingo land to me .

Flamingo Land is only about ten miles fom where I live and I don't recognise it from that picture.

Hey! Heavy thunder storms in buckingham, near milton keynes at 8am today, was raining from then until about 2. No flooding as I can see but reports that roads all around are closed due to flooding! Weather is now windy but no rain.

Sorry, but it is most definately North Yorkshire. The coaster in the background is Kumali.

Sorry about that BA :o I don't recognise it form that angle. It's probably changed since I last went :)

The heaviest of the rain has now passed here, and it did seem quite heavy, but, on comparing the radar echoes of what seemed like heavy rain here (green colours at worst with a hint of yellow) to the reds, pinks and whites that many of you have had, and on seeing the news and photos posted here, I feel very lucky. :o Hope everyone here is OK and relatively flood-free.

Rain finally easing off here after falling heavily and continuously for the last 6 hours.

The 15:30 radar shows the rain is intensifying now over Lincolnshire. The whole band is moving northwards so Manchester can expect a thoroughly wet evening!

I find concerning the persistence of the rain over east Wales - thinking of the river Severn!

Sorry for been off topic, but it definately is Flamingoland. The park has undergone quite a dramatic change in the last couple of years with new rides and attractions. Here is the ride from another angle http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...land_Kumali.jpg

Back on topic, it's stared spitting here now with quite a strong breeze. The skies are now darker than they have been all day.

For those questioning the pics from FlamingoLand, it is I think indeed the Kumali ride in the background, here is a page with pics of the ride under construction.

I'm really glad I live on a hill with virtually no chance of been flooded. It is terrible that so many people are affected by these dreadful floods with still no sign yet to the awful summer weather.

Hi Karyo

Yes it isn't looking good now as this thing swings north. There are flood warnings out for the river

Hull which is depressing news for those in the already flooded areas

Brian

hi Brian,

heavy rain now, very fast deterioration. The rain shouldn't get as heavy here as further south but it is likely to stick for many hours which may become dangerous for flood prone areas.

You are very correct indeed SnowBear :o My son and daughter have just come in from school and confirmed it

as they go there regularly and were only there last week.

My sincere apologies to BA Baracus who was also correct

Brian :)
