Thanks PIT...looking out then for Thursday for different areas

Iknow weve had alot of rain here, but we havent had a decent thunder storm since last year..

Infact the last real lightning was January in a snow blizzard..which is rare I think

At least the rain currently over Eastern Ireland ATM looks not very heavy at all.

I think the rain tommorow will just be light and patchy with perhaps the odd heavier burst. The BBC forecast said around 4mm for the effected areas. I think its thursday and sunday that want watching

whats all this about sunday? first I've heard of it. Tomorrows rain is nothing to worry about tbh, it's thursdays which would dump 25mm across southern parts. Lets hope not. Although a good evening storm would be cool.

However much rain we might realistically get it's unlikely that new areas will be flooded, only perhaps already affected areas will be reflooded. A lot of the water has already moved down stream. Not good though of course.

Looks like a chance of storms tomorrow across the northern half of the country on GFS. Met Office website is saying scattered light showers following the main rain band so little agreement between the two.

Are we likely to get a new thread for tomorrow??? :)
