Place your reports for Tuesday here please.

I see dry streets, in the streetlights because it's now dark.

I see stars, with very few clouds.

I see twigs and small branches moving in a gentle westerly breeze.

I see little else because it's dark and will remain so for a couple of hours yet.

It's not much, but it's a start.

I see stars, millions and millions of them. And the glorious, gorgeous moon, round and fat and lighting up every hedge, and branch and twig. I see shadows of the rabbits running around my fields and the faintest hint of light remaining to the north.

It started off lovely and sunny with no clouds. I noticed some big cumulous clouds building over Kent about an hour ago, and now there's a big, black and threatening-looking cloud about to come right overhead with some mammatus mixed in. Where did that come from? I thought today was supposed to be set fair!

My wife wants to do some painting outside and she has asked me if it's going to rain. Last night I told her it would be a beautiful and sunny week, with temps high enough for a nice BBQ by the weekend. Now she's looking at me as though I'm mad! No change there, mind. :)

Anyone in North Essex had any rain or storms today? The radar seems devoid of precipitation.

Well, that dark cloud is starting to break up as it comes overhead. The "Shoebury Shield" is obviously still working working properly!

And my wife has started painting in the back garden. So that shield had better hold...

Sorry, my weather station is still in its box. No time to put it up yet so no scientific reports. But it's getting sunny again, is warmish (18C or 19C I would say), and just a pleasant zephyr wafting in from the skylight above my desk as I watch the clouds drift south.

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
