    August. Hot long summer days and nights. Or 12ºC and raining again? Let your photos show the story :doh:

    Anyway, lovely nw photographers - let's get those fingers clicking and those shutters buzzing and post into this thread any photos taken during August 2007 that you wish to enter into our Monthly Photo Competition. Maximum three entries for each category per member.

    Any photos can be submitted. These will then be sifted into weather-related and none weather retaled before voting. The weather related photo that wins the vote will be the photo for August in the 2008 netweather.tv calendar.

    Remember:

    Entries will NOT be accepted if they're sized above 1024 x 768.

    So please resize.

    Just back from a few days holiday on Achill Island and Donegal in Ireland.

    Its hard to imagine they were taken with the summer we have had but I got very lucky with some fine weather.

    The convergance zone over norfolk this evening provided very dark skies to my

    east ... but to my west it was virtually cloudfree ... with the sun at 10 degrees above

    the horizon.

    These pictures were taken on a nokia n73 camera phone ... 3.2 megapixel producing 1mb images

    at 2048 x 1536 (obviously reduced before uploading here).

    Also ... one "non-weather" picture, taken last week after sunset.

      There'll be exceptionally warm temperatures for the time of year affecting much of western Europe during the coming days, but that warmth will only graze the UK for now.
