St Johns Wort

I've been interested in nature and watching seasonal growth/flowering for about four years now. In the previous three summers I have noted that the large St Johns Wort bush in our garden flowered in June, died off through July and August before budding and flowering again in September.

However this summer it flowered as usual in June, but has kept a good display throughout July and now into mid-August. There are plenty of buds that will come through in the next week and I'm anticipating it continuing into September.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Could it be to do with how wet the previous two months were?

Or is our bush maybe matured into flowering for four months in a row?
