sure we do not want 80% oxegen now

but slowely over 1000s of years life on

earth will ajust to it and it will improve

the earth

Certainly wouldn't be able to light up a ciggie in public then would you. BANG!

if over 1000s of years we had 80%

oxegen then we would have more

plants though we do have to limit

oxegen levels or the plants will die

i think if the earth was at an end

having a fag would be the last of our

worries

So we have 80% oxygen - lots of plants and NO mammals -that would improve the earth. Can you expand on how this would result in an improved earth?

OK - so the plants and animals adapt to an atmosphere containing 80% oxygen - how do we adapt to living in what is a potential firebomb?

change

we can apadt the air around us in vastly

populated areas so we can live with no

risk

How?

(I'm sorry if it seems we are firing questions at you but I really would be interested to know how you think that could be done)

again

we will have to move of of the earth one

day no matter what when the sun enteres its red gaint phase and swells in size the plan is to move to one of jupiters moons

Sun_Red_Giant.jpg

there are plans for hole skyscraper sized

greenhouses that would boost the oxegen

levels

OK so what have we got so far. We live on a planet with 80% oxygen levels, but we have adapted the atmosphere within our populated areas to a lower level of oxygen. Can only presume this would be in some sort of biospheres. So far so good. We then have to blast off, presumably in a rocket, to one of Jupiter's moons - we would have to go through the 80% oxygen. Rocket boosters + 80% oxygen = instant annihilation. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

greenhouses that would boost the oxegen

levels - good to know there's a plan huh?

not exacly

the area in the rockets paths oxegen

levels could be adapted

Well that's the last time I'm involved with this thread. That purely ridiculous and this is an obvious wind-up.

So not just biospheres but a whole adapted tunnel all the way to Jupiter? Are the tickets on sale yet?

no

if you get rid of all co2

ALL the plants will

DIE

no just until the end of the atmosphere

Ratty, you seem to be stuck on one path, what you are reading in maybe certain places, and not reading through both sides of the arguments presented.

Ask and many here have loads of links to various sites and scientific papers which delve into the ins and outs quite deeply for both sides of the argument and more.

You have put forward many points, with possible solutions, but fail in practicality.

Please take time to spend a period of learning from the folks here, on all sides of the warming argument, it would be I think be an advantage to you.

I wish you well on your journey of discovery, I think you will find it may be more complex than you think.

So how would we build this "tunnel to the end of the atmosphere". Would be terribly difficult not to create any sparks whilst doing it. Come on RATTY - admit it - this is a wind up isn't it?

This is totally surreal, :p I don't think I want to play anymore. It was fun for a while Ratty but come on admit that either:-

a) You are a troll

:p You are actually super-intelligent and this is a wind-up

c) You are really 5 years old

Answers on a postcard please.

the earth will come to an end one day

do you have another suggestion to

save the human race

lets start again this time with a hole

new solution

we dont have to increase oxegen at all

just keep the levels the same

Is there a particular reason you are writing in some form of haiku?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
