After having just been woken up by one of the heaviest squalls of rain I've seen since June and an extreme gust of wind I thought I would post on here. I tried to get some video/sound but it was too dark and I didn't have time. Current conditions:

Also just woken by a violent squall: one huge gust and lashing rain at approx. 6.35am. Golf tent separated from securing pegs and deposited in rear hedge! Also some 18" of mortar ripped out of house wall. Now 'all quiet on the Western front' after another hour or so of intermittently heavy rain.

Slightly off topic but just heard on Radio 1 theres been several reports of tornadoes in the south and east, didnt quite catch where they were, but they said they had blew tiles off roofs.

Anyhoo, lovely and sunny here now got woken up at 4.30 this morning by the howling winds, max gust 30.4 mph, sure it must of been higher sounded it, had a big temperature drop, from a max of 16.5c, at 3.21am with a drop to 11.1c at 7.39am, is now 14.4c only had 6.1 mm of rain, i think the wind might of played havoc with the gauge.
