A warm start looks certain and it may last for 10 days or so but a stormy and cold end, bringing it back to.......10.6

OK, I'll try my halfway-between-the-71/00-av-and-the-10-yr-rolling-mean guess again. That works out as 10.75, which I'll round....um....UP to

10.8oC

(which just happens to be the rollng 15 & 20 year mean figure, too. Which makes we wonder.....if someone had, for each month so far, consistently plumped for one or other of the averages - 10 or 20 year rolling, say - irrespective of any prevailing weather or forecasts, where would they by now be in the league table? Has anyone in fact done this?)

The mean for all 68 people that have entered comes in at 10.7c. Could be quite interesting if the figure is close to this.

So a warm month is the general perception.

I think you're too late swfc. We have to go by SB's strict guidelines. If you still want to enter, you'll have penalties.

Looks like an above ave. first 10 days then trending down.At a guess not far from average by month end so i`ll plump for 10.7C.
