If you have any weather records then put down what would have been your driest and wettest years, my records go back to when I was a mere snip of a lad at 7 years old! Some may go back further though

Driest Year

Feb # 1998 # 5.1mm

Mar # 1990 # 3.8mm

Apr # 2007 # 0.8mm

Jun # 1996 # 6.4mm

Jul # 1983 # 5.8mm

Aug # 1995 # 5.6mm

Sep # 1997 # 7.6mm

Mar # 2001 # 92.2mm

Apr # 1983 # 100.8mm

Here's my list. I've restricted it to the last 30 years as, although my records go back to 1963, the first 15 years were at a different and drier site.

---------------------------- DRIEST------------------------WETTEST

JANUARY.............1997.......13.6 mm--------------------1995.......207.3mm

FEBRUARY...........1993.......12.5 mm--------------------2002.......206.0 mm

MARCH................1993.......15.9 mm-------------------1981........176.4 mm

APRIL..................1984.......11.6 mm-------------------2000........156.0 mm

MAY....................1991.......11.2 mm--------------------2006........152.4 mm

JUNE...................1983.......16.4 mm--------------------2007........219.4 mm

JULY....................1982.......14.7 mm--------------------2007.......140.7 mm

AUGUST...............1995.......10.7 mm-------------------2004........245.6 mm

SEPTEMBER..........1986.........8.2 mm-------------------1994........173.0 mm

OCTOBER.............1978.......26.3 mm-------------------1998........236.1 mm

NOVEMBER...........2001......52.7 mm--------------------2000........211.7 mm

DECEMBER...........2004......53.0 mm--------------------1993........231.7 mm

TOTAL...............................246.8 mm------------------------------2356.3 mm

Interesting that at my station the total of the wettest months is 9.5 times that of the driest months whereas at Paul's location it's 17.4 times greater.
