Overcast and mild, but very breezy with light rain up to reading time. Becoming brighter during the late morning, but a short heavy shower followed around midday. The afternoon was much brighter with good sunny spells and very mild for October with a top temperature of 17c. Rainfall = 2mm.

Remarkably despite the fact that there's a strong westerly wind which in theory should keep the temperatures up, theyre actually falling quicker than last nights - so much for the relatively mild, by the met-office only around average at the moment at 8.8C

Also cooler than this time yesterday I think, so it will more than likely go cooler than yesterday too. Probably the mid air values causinng this. Also given the fact that this is one of the better wind directions for keeping temperatures up, I would suggest that 4-5C by midnight is much more of a possibility, but this depends on showers cloud etc.
