Has been a wet night, but much milder than recently, the overnight temperature not falling below 6c until around 5am when the sky began to clear. The minimum temperature air eventually fell to 4.5c at 08:40, with a grass minimum of –0.5c so giving a touch of ground frost. rainfall total from 9am to 9am = 6mm.

Currently clouding over again, very damp, with mist over the fields.

Yesterday, Monday 19th November

The overnight snow turned back to rain as the temperature rose to 4c around 5am, so by dawn virtually all the accumulated snow had melted. All rain and total snow melt amounted to 22mm since 9am yesterday. The Morning was mainly overcast and damp with just the a couple of bright spells, the afternoon continued much the same, but was much less cold, maximum temperature 9c. More rain set in during the evening giving another total of 6mm.

Rainfall total this month = 39mm

The day started dry and bright with hazy sunshine until around 11.00. It then turned dull and wet with persistent rain through the afternoon. The max temp was 9c with a gentle, variable breeze.

Drizzle at the moment, 8c.

Thick fog almost all day above 300m. Dry until 1545 when light rain arrived from the south east.

Several hours of moderate rain during yesterday evening thawed almost all the lying snow, just a few very small patches left at 0900.
