Hi John, this month could close on the average in the North, like April.

But here, in my land, the situation is dangerous: strong rain deficit between 40% and 60% and the hot and dry season is starting!!!

Hi Franko

I just discovered your thread this evening and have to say that it made a great read.

Been lucky to have visited your country over the past 2 years, on both occasions to the lake area in June 2006 (not much happened in the way of storms) and August (amazing overnight storms over lake garda).

Just wondered what is the best time of the year for storms in your area? - I'm guessing that things could be very dry over July and August?

Hi Mac

the best time for storm in my area is between Spetembar and November but in the hot month (May-August) they could be very strong

they aren't rare in the other month, here we have heavy contrast between cold and hot air because we stay in the middle of Balcani's mountains and Africa

some photos of heavy thinderstorm, there are funnel and tornado

(they aren't mine)

In these days, it's very hot in Sicily!

Today, I registered a max of +36°C (670 mals) and some areas near Catania have touched +41°C! ;)

It's very difficult to go out on the street! :o

Fortunately, tomorrow temperature will get down!

Ps: no rain since one month!
