EDIT: The wind has now dropped with very heavy rain falling!

The passage of a cold front through the area has made for a very windy night and early morning, with the south westerly wind gusting to 38mph at 2am. The wind has since moderated and up to reading time has been bright and dry, but rather cool. The morning continued bright and breezy, with the afternoon seeing a brief light shower, feeling cool in the strong SW wind. The evening continued breezy and rather cloudy with rain by the end of the night. Maximum temperature 8.9c, rain = 3mm.

Today started off not to bad, just drizzle and a moderate breeze, starting to turn ugly now though. Heavy rain, winds approaching Gale force.

Latest readings; Average Wind Speed 23mph, top gust so far was 44mph.

Severe Gales expected around lunchtime, with gusts of 65mph predicted! :lol:

since about 10am it has been very windy and gusty heavy rain but I think the wind has dropped, its very quite for the past 15mins now.

Langdon bay saw a gust of 62mph

Well after the "quite hour" I can hear the wind picking up again, must of been in the eye off the storm lol

Yeah I saw earlier that Langdon Bay got a gust of 62mph, impressive.
