Horrendous conditions on the roads this morning in torrential rain. A good hour of convective downpour this morning with lots of flooding around the New Forest and Southampton area - wasn't expecting this today!

I don't know where all that rain came from this morning - I know it was the sky... - but it was not forecast to be so heavy. Nearly two hours of solid rain, then now bright but not sunny yet. Kuh! Weather forecasters these days...

The mildest day so far this year with max of 12c.

Cloudy with some sunny spells and a few blustery showers - typical warm sector conditions for this area - an increase in wind through the day too.

10c now, cloudy, windy.

Here at the vale weather station its currently cloudy windy and mild temp at 18.08 is 10.2c with a max temp of 11.5c but strong winds with a max gust of 31mph so far :(
