Bagdad Gets Snow

    hi all

    this amused me it was an artical on the BBC today about snow in Bagdad Iraq, it goes to show that salt in wounds does feel painful :o .

    anyone know of any other weird places that just dont have snow fall but have had some add them here.

    It's not quite as outlandish as they make out though. Snowfall north of Baghdad is extremely common. Indeed there are ski resorts in northern Iraq.

    yes but as the report says it does snow in Kurdish Iraq but rare that far south in Bagdad

    I can beat that sydney had snow in the peak of summer!

    The best I can find for snow last reported in Sydney was in the 1830's.Infact the article states they have experienced four of the hottest Summers of late?Mind my research skills are not #1 :o

    Perhaps it was that Sydney in Nova Scotia or Newfoundland that a couple flew to by mistake a few months back :huh:
