    Yay replies :) , thanks all :)

Ok to explain HDR here are some links to help you on your way

    http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide

    http://flickr.com/photos/cleever/255026221/

    http://www.backingwinds.blogspot.com/2006/...hdr-images.html

    http://range.wordpress.com/2006/07/15/mode...ing-relaxation/

Word of warning there is a fine line between HDR and over the top HDR , some images i've done have turned out worse than the original with over done HDR. Alot of the time you get white halo's over the objects , so ALWAYS keep an original and redo it. :(

    Thanks for the links Neil.

How long does it take to do each one?

Well all in all it took me 5hrs to do all of them , thats 3 exposures per image... Joined up... Tone mapped.. then resized and extra work done in paint shop.

I'd say its between 10mins-20mins for each image ( 3 exposures ) depends on how much hdr/tone mapping needs doing then its a case of finishing up in paint shop and saving :(

^ That one had 3 exposures converted and tone mapped

    CornerBoatToneMapped800x600.jpg

This image is just 1 exposure but tone mapped.. However i tried out the sharpening aswell... See a difference? :(

    Big difference Neil.. :)

Do many competitions allow HDR photo's?

Depends on the competition really , some don't like hdr and tone mapping and put " No highly edited photo's , natural only ".. Most of the time though its allowed

    • Exceptional warmth for western Europe as October begins

There'll be exceptionally warm temperatures for the time of year affecting much of western Europe during the coming days, but that warmth will only graze the UK for now. Next weekend may see a more direct hit with the potential for southerly winds to draw some of that heat north and take temperatures into the mid or high-twenties. Read the full update here
