Strange funnely cloud

I was wondering if anyone knows what this could be?

A friend's son took this the other day, they submitted it to anglia tv weather and they didn't know either apparently. Any ideas?

It does look a bit deceiving as if it is vertical, however as LH points out it is just the planes vortex

It is a North Korean rocket falling harmlessly into the North Sea, but I told MI5 those people were dangerous, but would they listen, no, it's all about living in peace with Pyongyang nowadays. I tell you ... :unsure:

Hi. When was this taken? I only ask as New scientist has a similar kind of photo in the last word section in its latest issue. See issue- 9 feb 2008. The photo is reportedly taken in rural oxfordshire at 7.30am 11 Dec 2007 and the same q is being asked.
