Keswick The Lake District I would say the strong winds and rain have already past here as much as 6hrs ahead of predications .Current weather is 7 degrees dry with very little wiind.

A SW gale during the early hours of this morning, accompanied by light-moderate rain. Shortly before 0900 the rain became heavy and then turned to hail which was heavy enough to whiten the ground by 0900, ground still white with hail at 0920 but the rain by then was light.

Patches of blue sky now appearing and the wind has decreased to a mean speed of 30 mph and veered W.
