The general synopsis at midday

High southern Sweden 1040 expected Dogger 1039 by midday tomorrow. New high expected 150 miles northeast of Iceland 1046 by same time

Looks like the wind is coming back from its holiday this week.

Good to see that normal service is being resumed. Must say that the change has been welcome (no rain) but it is getting boring now. :huh:

East Northern Section, issued on Tuesday 19 February 2008 at 2000

New low expected 62 north 28 west 965 by 201200 UTC. Winds in the south of East Northern Section could reach storm force 10 at times from 200600 UTC until 201500 UTC. Winds in the southwestern quadrant will reach storm force 10 at times from 201200 UTC, between 150 and 300 miles from the centre.

West Northern Section, issued on Tuesday 19 February 2008 at 2000

look out guys, here it comes again ,this is a regular pattern ,down here anyway...2/3 weeks HP and stable weather followed by 2/3 weeks LP and wet /stormy conditions you can almost set your watch to it,anyone else notice this over the last 18/24 months

Winds gusting to 45mph here at the moment and we have snow!! Mixed wintry showers this afternoon which are now turning more readily to snow and the temp/dewpoiint is dropping all the time, currently 3.1C/2.3C.
